Oscar Martinez

Oscar Martinez is a seasoned art educator with over 16 years of experience teaching at the elementary through high school levels. He currently teaches Art II, Advanced Art, and dual credit Art Appreciation for Tom Moore High School along with dual credits for  St. Philip’s College. He uses a student-centered approach that emphasizes creativity, individuality, and encouragement.

Amber 

Amber is a ceramic artist born and raised in the hill country. Her lifelong pasion for art and community come together perfectly in her work at The Color of Clay. In the studio, she loves guiding people to find their inner creativity. This project has become very close to her heart, and she couldn't be more happy to be a part of it. 

Alana Kocich​

Alana has been teaching art for 18 years at all levels ranging from pre-school age to senior citizens.  My passion is helping students strengthen art skills while developing an appreciation for all types of art styles and media. She is a sponsor of the National Art Honor Society, an artist, and has recently been painting oils on canvas. 

Mimi Overly 

Mimi is the Art Teacher at Hunt School. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southwest Texas State University with a specialization in ceramics and has taught for 25 years, building the Hunt School art program since 2008. A Hill Country resident for over 30 years, Mimi is honored to contribute her heart and creativity to this community project of beauty and love.

Amy Morran

Amy has been working alongside Wanda on mosaic projects for over a decade. With her extensive experience, she has become one of our lead artists, supporting projects from beginning to end.

She volunteers every Monday in our Austin studio, glazing tiles and helping bring each piece to life. Amy also plays a key role behind the scenes, assisting with the many details involved in installation.

Amanda inspires Middle School students to embrace their own unique creativity. She is a wife, mother, artist, gardener, and thrifter. Amanda cares deeply, speaks truth, sees potential and finds beauty in imperfection.

Maya Montemayor ​

Maya has a background in polymer science and chemistry, and enjoys working and rooting herself in community. She has worked with Wanda for the past 2 years and enjoys seeing the art come to life.
